My Neigborhood in Islamabad
This past week my activity has been curtailed because of elections. Classes have been cancelled and instead of waking up at five in the morning to go out photographing in Rawalpindi as planned I opt for a morning walk in the Fatima Jinnah Park (aka F-9 park) about a mile from where I’m staying. The park is named after the younger sister of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. It costs ten Pakistani rupee (about ten cents US) to enter the park. Even compared to Oregon this park is a jewel of a place. Will be curious to see if more people use it later in the day. There are only a handful of joggers and power walkers around in the morning.
