Aabpara Market- Islamabad

It’s been one week since arriving in Islamabad and because of elections my travel has been restricted. Today I ventured out to one of the oldest markets in town. Aabpara is mostly frequented  by men. It’s a general bazaar with clothes and daily house hold items. The market seems like more of an excuse for them to hang out and socialize. Was struck by the faces of the food vendors- many from Afghanistan. The Pashtun men are the most striking I have ever seen.

Am totally enjoying the Fuji X100s. It’s almost feels like my old Leica m-4. I love the way that it doesn’t call attention to itself and the files look so natural even in hardly any light. It took a bit getting use to but it’s now feeling more like an extension of my eye. All of the photos to date have been shot with it.
